Irrfan Khan is going out of his way to promote Madaari, a movie he represents both as a lead actor and producer.

As part of the promo, he had met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and then went to the press club to brief media about it.

That is when the script stopped working. A Times Now report says Irrfan Khan declined to answer any specific question.

Perhaps, the correct position would be Irrfan Khan refused to answer any question as the journalists were bent in pushing him to take an either pro or anti Kejriwal position.

He refused to oblige and proceedings turned a little testy. But Irrfan Khan was too much of a brilliant actor to get flustered or storm out of the meeting.

He brought out his theatrical skills in full force to salvage the situation, which was a delight to watch despite the chaos.

Irrfan Khan has already met Bihar leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and is due to meet Rahul Gandhi. Modi has reportedly conveyed that he is too busy to meet the actor.

Pankaj Jha is pursuing his PhD in Sanskrit grammar at the Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, New Delhi.

A student told him in the classroom that Sanskrit dealt only with old stories and shlokas.

After Pankaj Jha refuted him, an argument built up and the student  challenged him to render Honey Singh’s version of 1990 Aashiqui song, Dheere Dheere Se Meri Zindagi, in Sanskrit.

“I translated the entire song in the class,” Pankaj told The Hindustan Times.

Though he was not a trained singer, he decided to sing and release it online, a move which proved to be a masterstroke.

EPIC, which is enconsed on NOAA's DSCOVR satellite, has been taking photos of Earth every two hours (video below)

    July 22, 2016, NewsCrunch

At about 1 million miles from Earth, Nasa has placed a camera, EPIC to photograph our home planet for research.

EPIC, which is enconsed on NOAA's DSCOVR satellite, has been taking photos of Earth every two  hours.

These images capture the ever-changing motion of clouds and weather systems, and the fixed features of Earth such as deserts, forests and the distinct blues of different seas, as Nasa puts it.

On July 20, 2015, NASA released the first image of the sunlit side of Earth, a mesmerising image of how a human eye would capture it in rue colour from that distance in space.

Now it has compressed all these images into a time-lapse video to show a year in the life of the Blue planet.

The bonus footage is the part in which the Moon casts its shadow on a portion of Earth during a solar eclipse.

    And it looks fragile....

Gujarati billionaire Savji Dholakia sent his only son Dravya, 21, to Kerala to learn about life by surviving on low paying jobs for a month

Savji Dholakia owns Rs 6,000 crore Hare Krishna Diamond Exports,  with presence in 71 countries, and was in news last year for showering lavish gifts - cars and flats -  on his employees.

He gave Dravya Rs 7,000, which could be used only in emergencies. The son was also asked not to spend more than a week in any job or use his mobile phone.

Savji Dholakia told the Times of India that he wanted him to understand how the poor struggle to get a job and money.

A chip off the old block, Dravya decided to make the challenge tougher by going to Kerala, where he would face an additional language handicap.

Dravya, who took the identity of a XII student from a poor farmer's family in Gujarat, had to contend with 60 rejections.

He eventually managed to work in a bakery, a call centre, a shoe shop, and a hotel. He struggled but managed to earn the Rs 300-400 he needed to survive everyday.

The New Indian Express says sending children incognito is a family tradition with the Dholakias and Dravya was just keeping up with that.

Three of his cousins had done similar 'training’ in Pune, Baroda and Jaipur.

There is also an interesting story on how this family tradition started. A few years ago, the Dholakia family had gone to England and ordered Gujarati dinner at a hotel.

They were shocked to find that the bill had come to 100 pounds a head as they had ordered without paying attention to the menu.

That is when the family decided that their youngsters should grow up realising the value of money and hit upon the idea of sending them incognito for a month.

TNIE also recounts an interesting encounter between Dravya and Sreejith, the financial head of Geeko Logistics.

Sreejith was impressed by the English and Hindi speaking Dravya, who served him at a restaurant at Cheranalloor.

Though Sreejith offered Dravya a good job at his firm, he found that he was reluctant to take it. During a meeting he came to know about the truth.

Dravya is leaving for the USearly August to pursue a BBA course.
