She is also the youngest license holder for a TEDxYouth event in the whole of South-East Asia.

She is articulate and confident like most convent-educated kids are. Her contention is  don't ask kids the dumb question - what will you do when you grow up? Encourage them to become that right now.

Empower this generation and make it grow faster than any other, she says.

We disagree with this message. Let kids be kids and take their time to grow up. And ten years is not the age to worry about words like inherent, undermine, paradigm, identity...

Kid, finish your homework and go out to play.

A few states like Gujarat have a complete ban on alcohol.

PM Modi faces a PR  battle after failing to notice that the Tri-Colour had been hoisted upside down during an official function in Malaysia.

Modi is in Kuala Lumpur to attend an Asean Summit and was scheduled to meet Japanese PM Shnizo Abe for a bilateral meeting.

A video posted by ANI shows Modi walking in with his officials. He goes to the venue where  Shinzo Abe is waiting and both of them shake hands for the photographers.

He fails to notice throughout that the Indian flag is upside down, which is legally considered as a grave  insult to the highest symbol of the nation.

Modi does not seem to be familiar with the protocol pertaining to the flag and the sensitivity attached to it. During his Germany visit he had tried  to shake hands with Chancellor Merkel as she entered the venue.

She ignored his extended hand initially, and drew him to the spot where the flags of both the countries had been hoisted in the background. She had gently pointed out that when heads of state meet and pose for the photos, protocol requires them to stand in front of their respective flags.

Modi’s Malaysiavisit started off on a sour note on Saturday.

He met Japanese PM Shinzo Abe during the Asan summit and posed for a photograph with the Tri-Colour in the background – hoisted upside down.

After Indians brought it to the host country’s attention, Malaysian officials rectified the error and requested Modi and Abe to pose for the photo again.

But the photos had been published by then upsetting many at the blatant breach of the protocol. There were voices of anger on Twitter that pulled up Modi for failing to notice the blunder.

Incidentally, it is the third time Modi has been accused of insulting the National Flag.

On the Yoga day he had been accused of wiping his face with a stole that looked like the Tr-Colour.

During his recent visit to Silicon Valley, he allegedly had put his signature on the flag that was supposed to be presented to President Obama.

The charges proved to be false on both the occasions.

Another says Punjab is the capital of Haryana and we don’t know where he is from.

Well, is it because they work so hard to get into medicine that their GK is so weak?

Now, expand HIV and AIDS?  How many bones are there in the human body?

They get these wrong too…

Mumbai, where 21 million people live, also hosts wildlife, including leopards  and crocodiles in its vicinity.

National Geographic photographer Steve Winter has shot a stunning night-time photo of two leopard cubs at SanjayGandhiNational park against the backdrop of the bright light of the city skyline.

Cubs indicate the presence of breeding resident females.

Leopards live in the park cleverly adapting to the city life hiding their secret from humans.

As Steve Winter notes there is a caretaker of a local shrine at the park. His goats and chicken use a waterhole during the day, which the leopards visit at night. The caretaker has learnt to lock up his animals safely.

The deer and other preys solve the food problem for the leopards. But they have to tiptoe to get around, sometimes walking right next to apartments which adjoin the park.

A long time resident of an apartment was surprised when told that he was sharing the space with these animals.

NewsCrunch had also noted in July that a 11-feet crocodile had been caught at Bhandup,Mumbai.

Leopards are increasingly found where humans live. A studyby Wildlife Conservation Society found that in Karnataka found that leopards had adapted to human-dominated landscapes.

National Geographic's stunning night-time photo of two leopard cubs at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai

@natgeo @stevewinterphoto Here is more proof that we humans live with majestic animals in urban areas without even knowing they are there - AND without major problems - if we let them be. Leopards are the most adaptable and the most persecuted cat on our planet. Shot for my @natgeo Leopard story - 2 leopard cubs are walking up stairs to go drink at a waterhole where the caretaker of a local shrine lives. The man has goats and chickens that drink the water during the day - at night he puts the livestock in his house for safety and the leopards come to drink - in Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai India. http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2015/12/leopards-moving-to-cities-text The residents of Mumbai use the park during the day - kids playing cricket, couples walking after work or school - others just walking in nature hearing the symphony of the park - the bird calls - leaving the bustling city of over 21 million people. But at night the leopards come out - in the core of the park they have a substantial food source of deer and other species - but they walk silently on the trails at night close to apartment buildings. In one instance I met a man who had lived in this building for 10 years and did not know there were leopards here! I saw him every night walking with friends getting some exercise - two weeks later he tells me he was up at 3:30AM and looks out his window and sees a leopard for the first time! Our natural world is simply perfect and incredibly amazing. And without it we as humans cannot survive - we need to wake up and save the nature that we depend on for our oxygen, water and food - life itself. If we save big cats we can save ourselves. Mulayam Singh Yadav treats his birthdays as political  events. It is an occasion to throw an extravagant bash at his pocket boroughs, a sort of assurance that his clout is in tact.

The wily politician also uses it to send political smoke to indicate in which direction the wind is blowing.

Most notably, his 76th birthday event at Saifai  signifies the full-fledged return of Amar Singh and reciprocally the distancing of Minister Azam Khan.

Amar Singh and Azam Khan share a hate-hate relationship and in the political seesaw battle they play within SP, the rise of one usually corresponds with the decline of the other.

At Saifai, Amar Singh sat right next to Mulayam even sharing his sofa. And when the the birthday boy rose to slice his cake, Amar Singh was among those who climbed the stage  for a  a bite.

In contrast, Azam Khan, who was supposed to reach Saiai on Saturday  afternoon  was nowhere to be seen. Ironically, he had hosted last year's bash at Rampur where he and his mentor had ridden an imported buggy though controversially.

Amar Singh, whose frosty relations with Mulayam has been thawing over the last year, is said to have the backing of Akhilesh Yadav.

Azam Khan had opposed the elevation of Akhilesh as CM and has problem in accepting his authority. He had most recently complained that he had not been consulted during the cabinet shuffle, which saw a close confidante of Amar Singh becoming a minister.

Observers say as Akhilesh gets a grip on the party the space for Azam Khan will shrink. But SP being dependent on Muslim vote would like to keep him in good humour.

And that is a tight rope walk Mulayam has not been able to walk till now.
