A video shows a shocking footage of two women caretakers burning small children, all less than six years, with hot spoon in Karimnagar, Telangana.

The incident caught on CCTV has caused a furore. Taking notice of the incident, State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has sought a report from Karimnagar Collector.

News agency ANI published a video and two photos of the incident with the caption - Children sustain burn injuries after being tortured by caretaker of 'Shishu Greh' in Karimnagar.

There are no further details of the incident at the moment.

Shishu Grehs are runby Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, to make available children for adoption. These unfortunate children, between 0 to 6 years of age, are either orphaned or surrendered by their destitute parents.

The incident seems to have occurred at Shishugruha, Balasadan Kristan Colony, Karim Nagar.

Shah Rukh Khan went through elaborate makeup, sitting for up to five hours to get the look for Gaurav Chandna’s role in his new movie Fan.

Shah Rukh, who is 50, plays a double role in Fan– superstar Aryan Khanna modelled on himself and a psychotic fan Gaurav, half his age.

Yash Raj films has released a video on the great pain the filmmakers took to get Gaurav’s look.

They hired Hollywood make up artist Greg Canon, who had helped Brad Pitt get different looks, in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Greg was sceptical as he estimated that it would take up to 5 hours for Shah Rukh to get the Gaurav look. He says usually roles that put on such elaborate makeup shoot for 10 or 15 days. But for Gaurav’s role, Shah Rukh had to shoot for 70 days with the look.

While prosthetics made Shah Rukh’s face bulge in places, to get Gaurav’s look they also had to shave off parts of it – for which VFX was used (video below)

 Shah Rukh says the most difficult part of Fan was sitting 4 to 5 hours on the makeup chair while the makeup artists worked on him.

Greg made moulds of Shah Rukh’s face and sculpted pieces of it in the required dimensions. During makeup he made markings on his face and used special tapes to stick prosthetic pieces and silicon on his nose, teeth, eyebrows, necks and other parts.

While prosthetics made Shah Rukh’s face bulge in places, to get Gaurav’s look they also had to shave off parts of it – for which VFX was used.

Through visual special effects Shah Rukh’s jaws were sharpened, Adams apple was removed, muscles on neck trimmed. The overall face and stature of Gaurav was shrunk in relation to Aryan Khanna.

The result was there for everyone to see – a 50-year-old walked into the camera convincingly looking like a 25-year-old Gaurav, thanks to makeup magic.

Women activists are upset that male police constables lathi charged protesting women  garment workers during their protest in Bangalore.

Protesting garment workers, mostly women, poured into streets on Monday and Tuesday opposing the new PF rule. Miscreants used the opportunity to set fire to vehicles and attack police.

Several videos, which show male constables thrashing women are doing rounds, on social media.

Deccan Herald quoted police sources saying there was a shortage of women police in Karnataka. There are reportedly just 300 police women in Bangalore, who were no match to the thousands of women  garment workers who hit the streets.

The police officials also told the newspaper that there was no rule that male police constables could not lathi charge women if protests went out of hand.

What Karan Johar and Ranbir Kapoor could not do to Pallavi Sharda’s flagging career, IPL has done.

After getting a chance to anchor "Extraaa Innings T20" Pallavi Sharda has shot into limelight and created a social media buzz that she could never manage over the last six years with Bollywood.

She said she was a littler nervous but was confident of managing Extraaa Innings as she loved cricket and had grown up in Australia.

Pallavi Sharda debuted in a cameo in Karan Johar/SRK’s My  name is Khan. She continued to do bit roles in noteworthy films till she was paired against Ranbir Kapoor in Besharam, 2013. She was a live wire and sizzled in kissing scenes with the heartthrob, but the film tanked and her career hit another hurdle.

Till IPL 2016 happened.

The 28-year-old actress was born and raised in Australia by IITian Punjabi parents. Though she also comes with BA and LLB degrees, Sharda shifted base from Melbourne to Mumbai in 2010, the same year she was crowned "Miss India Australia".

Pallavi Sharda is also a well-trained Indian classical dancer.

India legend Rahul Dravid's elder son Samit hit a century (125) in an U-14 match on Wednesday, hinting that wall-like consistency runs in his family besides cricketing skill.

Playing for Bangalore United Cricket Club in U-14 Tiger Cup he put on 213 runs for the fourth wicket along with Pratyush (143) and defeated Frank Anthony Public School by 246 runs, reports Indian Express.

Samit has come to limelight for the second year in a row, thanks to his batting. Last year, he was declared Best Batsman in the U-12 Gopalan Cricket Challenge Cup. To earn that honour he had scored 77, 93, and 77.

The similarity between father and son does not end in consistency. All his scoring effort  like in the Thursday's match  have resulted in a win for his side.

Spectators who have seen him in action have commented on similarities between the father and son both in their batting and fielding.

Samit's younger brother Asmay Dravid is also said to be a budding talent in cricket.

West Indies former cricketer Tino Best has joined Aussie legend Shane Warne in showing that sex and cricket make for a great cocktail.

In a forthcoming autobiography Mind the windows, Tino Best has claimed that he has slept with 650 women while a book by journalist Paul Barry claims that Shane Warne had slept with over 1,000 women.

Tino Best is 11 years younger than Shane Warne and has time on his side to catch up.

Tino Best’s exploits occurred over a 11-year cricketing career which played out, along with his night life, across the countries.

He reports his best statistics from an 11-week tour to Australia in 2005. He did not get to play a single test in the series, but managed to sleep with more than 40 women.

The great night of his life was in 2004, when he had his first three-some in England. He went for dinner with two beautiful girls and took them back to his room at Crowne Plaza hotel in Birmingham.

Daily Mail has published an excerpt of his autobiography. This is what the ‘man whore’ Tino Best says.

1) He was in love with a woman called Melissa and even had beautiful baby called Tamani with her. But she left him and he turned to sex to make up for her loss.

2) How did he score so well? He was young, could bowl fast, was good looking, confident and could carry a conversation too. He was the black Brad Pitt!

3) He would go out, pick up a couple of girls and take them back to hotel. Girls found invitation to a plush hotel from a professional sportsman irresistible. Sometimes he would go back with four girls and would have to call one of the other lads to help him out. He went easy on alcohol as it came in the way of his fitness unlike sex.

Tino Best used to go on five or six dates a week, all with different girls.

4) He would be honest with the girls and tell them that he did not want a relationship They knew that he was not husband material and did not mind it.

5) Tino Best has sampled girls everywhere - from South African brunettes to Australian blondes. His favourites are Australians, who he finds, to be most beautiful. “They are really into their fitness and have amazing bodies,” Tino Best says.

6) His sex marathons did not affect his cricket. He would take two girls back and have sex with them, but the next morning he would be the first to hit the ground and start training harder than anyone else.

A video has gone viral allegedly claiming to show MP Home Minister Babulal Gaur touching a woman inappropriately.

The video, shot at an event Bhopal, shows Babulal Gaur ushering in people into a bus.

ANI published it on Thursday afternoon with the caption -  Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur touches a woman inappropriately during an event in Bhopal.


Babulal Gaur’s hands do make a contact with the woman, but it is hard to say if it is deliberate or innocuous.

The 86-year-old BJP leader is known for landing in controversies frequently. He has in the past made insensitive remarks on women.

Last year he had told in public that he had offered to show how to remove dhoti to a Russian woman.

A year prior to that Babulal Gaur had said rape could be sometimes right.

Shaktiman, the Uttarkhand police horse, which died on Wednesday did not lose his will to live till the end, despite his horrific injury.

A video, posted by filmmaker Vinod Kapri, claims to show Shaktiman two hours before he died. Shaktiman is seen frail, limping on his prosthetic leg, but chewing grass.

The video is depressing, shows the plight of the once majestic police horse.  

Shaktiman’s caretaker, Shyam Singh Chauhan, said he fought till the end.  "He did not give up eating, he showed his will to fight back and survive," Chauhan told NDTV.

The 13-year-old horse broke his leg allegedly after repeated assault during a BJP rally last month.

Ganesh Joshi, a BJP MLA, who has been blamed for attacking Shaktiman, was arrested last month and then released on bail.

Shaktiman died in the same stall where he is seen eating in his last hours in the video.

Suresh Prabhu boarded a local train at Currey Road station and alighted at CST

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu surprised Mumbai commuters by travelling in a 'local' train on Thursday.

He had gone to an event to mark the 100th year of the Central Railway's Matunga Workshop. From there he boarded a local train at Currey Roadstation and alighted at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST).

In a story headlined Kangana Ranaut's emails to Hrithik Roshan give a shocking twist to the tale, DNA  has published images of a few emails allegedly sent by Kangana to Hrithik confessing her love.

Mumbai newspaper DNA has inadvertently outed Kangana Ranaut's email id while publishing her alleged emails  to Hrithik Roshan.

In a story headlined Kangana Ranaut's emails to Hrithik Roshan give a shocking twist to the tale
, it has published images of a few emails allegedly sent by Kangana to Hrithik confessing her love.

While it has taken care to blacken Kangana's email id, in one image it seems to have overlooked to do so, clearly revealing her gmail id.

As a result, a top star's email id has moved into public domain.

The DNA report takes the Hrithik and Kangana battle to the next round. It says the emails were submitted by him to police.

It also quotes a police officer saying there is no evidence of Hrithik having had an affair with Kangana.

Accordingly, Hrithik has not sent any mails her, has made only four calls to her in seven years. His passport copies also reportedly prove that he was not in Paris when she claimed they’d got engaged.

The report very much gives Hrithik's version of the controversy and in fact starts with the line:  This is a story of a man who has been victimised.​..

DNAsays it is in possession of emails sent by Kangana to Hrithik over a period of time.

Ladies and gentlemen, this round in which Kangana Ranaut confesses her love in leaked emails,  goes to Hrithik Roshan. It has been brought to you by The Times of India and DNA.

Hrithik seems to have hired a private cyber security agency to have his laptop and other gadgets analysed. They seem to have found no evidence in it that he conducted an affair with Kangana.

TOI reports that while Hrithik was hit by a  barrage of emails from Kangana, he hardly reciprocated.

"...The actor did not respond to even a single mail from the hundreds sent to his genuine email address by former co-star Kangana Ranaut over a six-month period starting July 2014," says TOI.

DNA goes beyond and says it is in possession of emails sent by Kangana to Hrithik over a period of time. These emails were submitted by Roshan to the cops along with an FIR saying Kangana was mentally harassing him.

These emails together allegedly portray a woman madly in love with Hrithik. As DNA notes, "On days there were emails every six minutes!"

It has published images of eight select emails between September and November 2014.

In one of them Kangana allegedly says she is in love, but is unsure if Hrithik reciprocates. She asks why is love so intangible and worries if Hrithik says one day that he does not love her.

"Will I recover from that fatal reality," she wonders.

In another email, Kangana allegedly says she feels like a teenager and gets knots in stomach when she meets him.

On 4, October 2016,  Kangana allegedly says her days start with Hrithik.

She says when she gets up in the morning, the first thing she does is to Google about Hrithik, to find a new photo, a new interview or any news about him to start her day

In another mail, Kangana allegedly asks Hrithik when he is shifting to his new house. She says she wants to set up his kitchen and announces that won't let anyone else do it. She also wants to interview and select his house staff.

In one email she allegedly says she has Asperger's syndrome.

DNA also concludes that there is no evidence of Hrithik responding to Kangana's emails.

It should be emphatically noted these reports have been filed from sources sympathetic to Hrithik. They have no inputs from Kangana who is likely to have an opposing view on the matter.

Self confessed sex-addict former West Indies fast bowler Tino Best has said that Chris Gayle is a family man, who is not into too much of the bad stuff.

"He's a good man," says Tino Best, in his forthcoming autobiography Mind the Windows.

Not that Natasha Berridge, Gayle’s long-time partner and mother to his new-born daughter Blush, needs any assuring.

She has been with Gayle with for more than 10 years and  probably knows her man better than Best.

The new revelations fly against the impression that Gayle is a playboy on steroids going by the occasional controversies he lands in and the social media posts he makes.

Gayle was in trouble in January this year after asking an attractive Australian woman reporter out when she was interviewing him on live TV.

Last year, he was in news for posting a picture of a stripper pole in his bedroom. “If u don't have a strip club at home, U ain't a cricket Player,” he had captioned it.

All of these alas, turn out to be, just mischief making, Gayle style.

Best refers to the stripper pole post in his book but dismisses Gayle as a good man.

A patient, who had stabbed himself gruesomely, was wheeled into a hospital in Zaragoza, Spain.

The erect sword had been buried in his chest, scratching through the outer muscle of the heart, which continued to beat.

Graphic footage of the operation video shows the surgeon deftly pulling out the sword without cutting anything.

Video has gone viral, but not for the weak-hearted.

A photo of a boy sitting next to a weighing machine and studying on a road at Kamala Nagar, New Delhi, has gone viral.

The photo is accompanied by a caption which says if you go to Kamala Nagar, meet Gautam, use his scale to weigh yourself and give him some money.

ABP News investigated the photo and found that it was authentic.

The viral photo claims Gautam sits in front of the John Player showroom in Kamala Nagar.  But he seems to be spending more time at the market, possibly in the parking lot.

A 7^th standard student, Gautam goes to a government school in Kamala Nagar, and gets on to his business at 5 pm every evening. He reaches his spot with his weighing machine and books. He dips into his books, as people come take their weight and move on.

Gautam stays till 8 pm making about Rs 100 and after that helps his mother, who is a street food vendor. She has to support Gautam and two younger children on her meagre income.

So, the Rs 100 Gautam earns everyday goes  along way in supporting the family, which lives at the nearby Chandrawal village.

In a brazen crime, a man dragged a Dalit woman out of her office on a busy street and abducted her in the Muktsar town of Punjab.

He allegedly took her to a farm house, raped and detained her for a day. Even month after the crime, part of which has been recorded on a CCTV camera, Punjab police are yet  to catch up with him.

The victim, a 24-year-old woman, from a nearby village, has been reportedly knocking doors trying to get police to act on the accused.

The CCTV footage shows the man dragging her over the long stretch of the road. She resists and shouts for help, but none comes forward to assist her. People seem to keep away deliberately and it is only towards the end of the clip, some movement is seen.

Media reports said the victim approached police with the CCTV footage but was still unable to make them act.

It reportedly took her five days to lodge an FIR on the incident that took place on March 25.

She, along with her father, have approached the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, which has reportedly summoned IG Bathinda range and Muktsar SP to explain the lack of action.

NDTV quoted the police saying the man and the woman were from the same village and knew each other.

Local media have identified the man and alleged he has also been threatening the victim's family to drop the matter.

Dr Anjali Ramkissoon, an Indian-origin resident doctor at a Miami hospital, who went viral after heckling an Uber driver in Miami, has been fired.

Her employer Jackson Health System issued a short statement on Friday saying she had been terminated from her services.

A hospital spokesperson said Dr Anjali Ramkissoon was entitled to an appeal process, reports NY Daily News.

Dr Anjali Ramkissoon, had been suspended and sent on forced administrative leave since January this year pending an internal inquiry following the Uber incident.

The hospital authorities had earlier warned that she faced termination as her behaviour was not in line with a medical professional.

On the fateful night, Dr Anjali Ramkissoon had got into an Uber cab without a reservation and created a ruckus when the driver asked her to leave.

She grappled with the driver and tore at him as he fended off her blows. She got into the car against his will and threw out his iPhone, mail, tickets, scissors and other possessions.

Dr Anjali Ramkissoon was handcuffed by the police, who did not arrest her, as the driver settled for a cash compensation and declined to press the charges.

A video taken by a disgusted onlooker went viral drawing global attention to a minor incident. Among other things, she was heard screaming, at the taxi driver: “Get the f*** in the car you piece of f****** disgusting s***.”

The video had triggered widespread outrage. Many hate websites had come up and there was even a campaign on Change,org seeking her dismissal.

Though Dr Anjali Ramkissoon deleted her social media accounts, her vacation photos were accessed and they also went viral turning her into global sensation.

She hired a PR agency to make amends and improve her image. But that obviously did not work and Jackson Health System decided to fire her.

Before she got into trouble, Dr Anjali Ramkissoon  was specialising in headaches and sleep medicine.

Before starting her residency at Jackson Health System, she studied at St. George University Medical School in Grenada.

She completed her undergrad studies at Barry University in Miami in 2008.

Though Dr Anjali Ramkissoon deleted her social media accounts, her vacation photos were accessed and they also went viral turning her into global sensation.

India media is having a storm in the tea cup moment, with former editor Shekar Gupta denying there was any pressure to drop Tavleen Singh's column from Indian Express and she asserting to disagree.

The new controversy also replays the old acrimony between close friends-who-fell out Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and journalist Tavleen Singh.

There has been a  small rumour within media circles. for anyone who cared, that Sonia Gandhi wanted Indian Express to discontinue with its Tavleen Singh column.

In an article in Business Standard on Friday, the newspaper's former editor  Shekar Gupta made a reference to it.

He had gone to a release function of Tavleen Singh's new book, India's broken tryst. Someone accosted him and asked if it was true that he was asked to leave Indian Express after he refused to drop her from the paper.

Sonia Gandhi is a said to have called him directly and made the demand.

Shekar Gupta denied that the was any pressure and dismissed any talk of Sonia Gandhi calling him on the issue.

He also went on to say that Sonia Gandhi's aides were critical of the column which they described as mythical and repetitive.

Shekar Gupta's account of the rumour did not go down well with Tavleen Singh. She tweeted on Saturday asserting that the rumour was true and that there was indeed pressure on Indian Express to drop her. She said another former Indian Express editor Suman Dubey had spoken to others on the issue, without specifying who they were

Tavleen Singh was a close friend of Sonia Gandhi till she did a profile of the Congress leader in 1986 for India Today. The unflattering profile made Sonia Gandhi  drop her from her list of friends and turned Tavleen Singh into fierce critic of the Gandhi family.

Pranav Singh "Champion" sent The Telegraph a photo he had taken with Salman Khan in 2009, in which he is seen towering over the actor.

Uttrakhand MLA Pranav Singh "Champion" called Salman Khan 'shorty' after he was not allowed to meet the Bollywood star on Friday.

"Champion" had gone to  meet Salman, who is busy shooting for his next movie Sultan at Muzaffarnagar, under a security cover of 1,000 policemen.

The police turned "Champion" away saying Salman did not have any time to spare outside the shooting schedule.

When The Telegraph called up "Champion", he spoke disparagingly of Salman saying the actor was only only 5 feet 4 inches, while he was 6 feet 1 inch tall.

He also described Salman as "just an actor" while he was a real-life hero, who had won many Asian and national medals.

He also sent The Telegraph a photo he had taken with Salman Khan in 2009, in which he is seen towering over the actor.
