The Baahubali makers have released a behind-the-scene video of visual effects that went into the shooting of the famous bull fight scene in the movie.

To develop the scene, the filmmakers used the lived-through animation technique, which was made popular by James Cameron movie Avatar.

The actor enacts the scene with props, which is captured on camera in close detail. The scene is then built around it through visual effects to give it an ultra-realistic feel.

In the video, Rana Daggubati, who plays Bhallala Deva, fights the ferocious bull, which in reality, is a prop held up by Prabhas.

So, when you see Rana testing his strength against the animal, it is Prabhas on the other side pushing him back.

In the studios, Prabhas was replaced with an animated bull.

Why Prabhas? Perhaps only he had the strength and the imposing physique to match Rana.

Baahubali used around 5000 VFX shots, which were developed by 16 different studios.

The bullfight scene was developed by Tau films of Malaysia.

Baahubali makers had earlier released behind-the-scene video of waterfall scenes which were developed by Makuta.
