One of the big romantic hits of recent years Aashiqui 2 had a tragic ending.
Its lead pair Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, who were seeing each other in real life, met with the same fate.
The couple were inseparable; both of them would steal time to get away from their busy schedule to spend time together.
Then they broke up without making public why they had stopped seeing each other.

Multiple factors, but the finger is pointed at Shraddha's mom, Shivangi Kapoor, who reportedly never approved of the relationship.
Shivangi reportedly thinks Shraddha has a good chance of getting to the top of the industry and playing a long innings. She reprtedly considers Aditya is a distraction.
It has also not helped that Aditya’s last hit was in 2013, Aashiqui 2. After the debacle of Daawat-E-Ishq he even thought of quitting acting.
He is in a do or die situation with his upcoming movie Fitoor.
On the other hand, after Aashiqui 2, Shraddha went on to deliver a hat-trick of hits with Ek Villain, Haider and ABCD 2.
The breakup may as well turnout to be temporary. Aditya and Shraddha are coming together for the Hindi remake of O Kadal Kanmani, which may again rekindle the spark.
