Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan said on Thursday that he was willing to replace Aamir Khan as the brand ambassador of Incredible India.
In an interview with Times Now Amitabh Bachchan was asked if he would be willing to step into Aamir Khan’s shoes.
Amitabh Bachchan initially gave a guarded response saying he did not know what the issue was with Aamir Khan’s exit.
But he went on to say if asked by the government he would be more than willing to take up the role.
Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma said on Wednesday that Aamir Khan’s contract with Incredible India campaign had expired.
There was confusion on Aamir Khan’s status as the Tourism Ministry had stated that he was still with Incredible India in a response to a RTI application.
Aamir Khan’s exit has been controversial as many say he is being let go due to his controversial statement on intolerance.
