Gujarat government has ordered a probe into a private coaching class teacher, Rakesh Patel, who made his students walk on broken glass pieces.
The Vadodara-based tuition teacher reportedly made his 70 students and some of their parents indulge in the dangerous act on Tuesday.
A video footage shows a line of students walking barefoot on a pile of glass pieces spread on the floor of the institute.
ABP News, which broke the story, said Patel reportedly made the students walk on glass pieces to sharpen their minds.

Patel defended his action saying walking on glass would make them get rid of their fear and become self-confident. He also pointed out that there were no injuries and no complaints as well.
But after the media picked up the story,
Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma said he was taking the matter seriously.
