Life Mantra : Saharasri Subrata Roy shares life’s lessons in first book from jail – two more in pipeline

Sahara is releasing Life Mantra, the first part of the trilogy written by its incarcerated chief, Saharasri Subrata Roy, on Monday.

Published by Rupa, a Delhi-based publisher, the book release coincides with the foundation day of the conglomerate, which also falls on February 1.

Quoting a company insider, Pune Mirror reports that the book deals with life’s lessons and is philosophical in tone. Roy is reportedly working on two other books.

Royhas been in Tihar jail since March 4, 2014, as he is unable to raise the Rs 10,000 crore bail amount set by the Supreme Court.

In 2012, the Supreme Court had ordered two Saharagroup entities to repay to 29.6 million investors over Rs 24,029 crore, along with 15 per cent.

Roy was taken in after Saharaallegedly failed to comply with the order.

Capital markets watchdog SEBI  claims that Sahara’s dues have swelled to over Rs 40,000 crore due to mounting interest liabilities.
