Shocking video: Man shot in chest begs for help during Allahabad poll – dies later in hospital

A man shot in the chest during election violence died later in the hospital in Allahabad as no one stepped forward to help him.

The dead man has been identified as Devendra Singh, son of an election official of the village Dubki Kalan.

A video released by Dainik Bhaskar shows him lying on a cot injured. He staggers out to the road seeking help, which was just not forthcoming.

ABP News reports that people were busy taking photos and videos instead of assisting him. Two men came on a bike and shifted him to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Devendra Singh was shot in Allahabadon Wednesday during Block President election.

A fight had reportedly broken out between supporters of SP’s official candidate and a rebel.
