Infosys gives CEO Vishal Sikka huge pay hike – he can now make up to Rs 75 crore a year

Infosys has given a hefty pay hike to its CEO Vishal Sikka, bumping it from roughly Rs  47 crore ($ 7.08 million) to Rs 75 crore ($11million).    The new pay structure will be effective from January 2017.   This is the breakup of his pay package, according to The Economic Times.
Infosys took help of a consultant to decide on Sikka’s compensation, which is now
said to be at par with other global tech companies of the same size

Infosys has given a hefty pay hike to its CEO Vishal Sikka, bumping it from roughly Rs  47 crore ($ 7.08 million) to Rs 75 crore ($11million).

The new pay structure will be effective from January 2017.

This is the breakup of his pay package, according to The Economic Times.

He will get an annual base pay of $1 million (Rs 6.8 crore)  and variable pay of $3 million (Rs 20 crore).

He also becomes eligible to receive $7 million (Rs 47 crore) in stock options, which is three times more than what he was entitled to till now.

Infosys took help of a consultant to decide on Sikka’s compensation, which is now said to be at par with other global tech companies of the same size.

His contract has also been extended till 2021, which could make him the longest serving Infosys CEO after Narayana Murthy.
