It was conceived by 24-year-old Canadian Muslim Assma Galuta - who teamed up with a team of film-makers and shot a video as well.

She said Muslims who take part in the project wear a blindfold to convey that they trust strangers completely.  By blindfolding themselves that show they are vulnerable as anyone can harm them in anger. Yet, they  do it to convey they trust strangers and seek to build a bond with them.

The project has been a success and more two million people have watched the video and responded positively. It has also spread to the USA and Europe.
