Abdul Sattar Makandar, a driver from Karnataka, has sought help to come home from Saudi Arabia, saying his employer was not letting him to return.

Makandar lives in Dammam Al Khobar and is reportedly working for AL Suroor United Group.

In the video, a tearful Makandar posts a message for Kundan Shrivastav, a social activist, who has reportedly helped other Indian workers stranded in Saudi Arabia.

Makandar says he has been in Saudia Arabia for three years, but is not being allowed to go home.

When offered the job, he was told that he would have to work for eight hours and would get overtime payment if he worked more.

He has never been paid for overtime and also says he still has not been paid salary despite the date being 12th, possibly March.

It is sad to see Makandar’s plight who wipes tears off his eyes as he speaks.

Besides posting Makandar’s video on his Twitter account, Shrivastav has appealed to Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj to intervene.
