Mysore has emerged as India’s cleanest city after a Swachh Bharat survey ranked it Number one among Indian cities.
The survey considered two key parameters - open defecation and solid waste management practices.
Four hundred and seventy six cities in the country were surveyed and the top 10 ranks went to: Mysore , Thiruchirapalli (Tamil Nadu), Navi Mumbai, Kochi (Kerala), Hassan, Mandya and Bengaluru from Karnataka, Thiruvananthapuram, Halisahar (West Bengal), and Gangtok (Sikkim ).
