Remember the video of a drunkDelhi police cop tottering in metro that surfaced last August?
It went viral, was on page one of many dailies and was widely slammed as a disgrace in uniform.
The then police commissioner Bassi suspended the cop, identified as Salim P K from Kerala, and ordered an enquiry.
Mail Today reports that Salim was not drunk, but was suffering from a health condition related to a stroke he had suffered previously.
He had reportedly suffered a major stroke three years ago requiring the police to shift him to a desk job from active security duty. He had been repeatedly hospitalised, suffered occasional seizures and was on medication.

He has approached a host of authorities including Supreme Court, the Delhi government, Delhi Police, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and the Press Council of India seeking justice.
He has sought compensation, an demanded that the video be removed and the centre to take steps to ensure such incidents do not occur in future.
