A writer of 20 epics in Kosli language, Haldhar Nag is known in Odisha as Lok kabi Ratna.

Born in a poor family in 1950, Haldhar Nag, dropped is a Class III dropout. He is always clad in dhoti and vest and has never even worn any footwear.
He went to receive Padma award at Rashtrapati Bhavan bare feet.
