A Pakistani autorickshaw driver Master Aslam whose song went viral recently has come to the attention of Indian legend Lata Mangeshkar.
A video of him singing a difficult composition of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan's thumri 'Yaad piya ki aaey' created enormous buzz last week
Mangeshkar shared his vuideo on her Facebook page and wrote that a talent like Aslam should be singing rather than driving rickshaw.

But that failed to translate into offers forcing him to drive a rickshaw to make a living.
He has had some formal training and like a true musician does his riyaaz regularly.
He told Dawn that getting noticed by Lata was a dream come true and confirmed that he had real talent.
He said he cried on hearing about Lata’s response as she was a 'devi' of music while he was just an amateur.
“I am not even a speck of dust before her but she took time to recognize and appreciate my talent. It is the best reward for me," he said.
