A video of a little girl being married off in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, will break your heart.
It is night, well past the six-year-old girl’s bed time. But she is in a bridal attire and made to walk around the fire, along with the groom, also a minor.
She is irritated, possibly scared and can be heard crying. A grown up man persuasively ensures she completes saptapadi, the seven rounds around the fire.
India Today published this video on Tuesday. The child victims name or their village is not revealed.
