Women activists are upset that male police constables lathi charged protesting women garment workers during their protest in
Protesting garment workers, mostly women, poured into streets on Monday and Tuesday opposing the new PF rule. Miscreants used the opportunity to set fire to vehicles and attack police.
Several videos, which show male constables thrashing women are doing rounds, on social media.
The police officials also told the newspaper that there was no rule that male police constables could not lathi charge women if protests went out of hand.
