Dr Anjali Ramkissoon, an Indian-origin resident doctor at a Miami hospital, who went viral after heckling an Uber driver in Miami, has been fired.
Her employer Jackson Health System issued a short statement on Friday saying she had been terminated from her services.
A hospital spokesperson said Dr Anjali Ramkissoon was entitled to an appeal process, reports NY Daily News.
Dr Anjali Ramkissoon, had been suspended and sent on forced administrative leave since January this year pending an internal inquiry following the Uber incident.
The hospital authorities had earlier warned that she faced termination as her behaviour was not in line with a medical professional.
On the fateful night, Dr Anjali Ramkissoon had got into an Uber cab without a reservation and created a ruckus when the driver asked her to leave.

Dr Anjali Ramkissoon was handcuffed by the police, who did not arrest her, as the driver settled for a cash compensation and declined to press the charges.
A video taken by a disgusted onlooker went viral drawing global attention to a minor incident. Among other things, she was heard screaming, at the taxi driver: “Get the f*** in the car you piece of f****** disgusting s***.”
The video had triggered widespread outrage. Many hate websites had come up and there was even a campaign on Change,org seeking her dismissal.
Though Dr Anjali Ramkissoon deleted her social media accounts, her vacation photos were accessed and they also went viral turning her into global sensation.
She hired a PR agency to make amends and improve her image. But that obviously did not work and Jackson Health System decided to fire her.
Before she got into trouble, Dr Anjali Ramkissoon was specialising in headaches and sleep medicine.
Before starting her residency at Jackson Health System, she studied at St. George University Medical School in Grenada.
She completed her undergrad studies at Barry University in Miami in 2008.
