MakeMyTrip continues with its brilliant advertising with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt ad, this time casting them as a Gujarati couple.
Baby (Alia) is upset that each time they cancel a hotel reservation, money is cut. Jignesh (Ranveer) informs her that they will have to cancel a planned trip again as her papa is coming. But, relief, he booked hotel through MakeMyTrip, so there is no cut.
The ad is a winner.
First, both of them rock with their performances, more so Ranveer, who has more to do. They both get their Gujarati characters right to the last hair, though there is a bit of lampooning based on ethnic stereotypes.
Second, the ad is well written. Ranveer says the trip would have to be cancelled as papa is coming. Alia gets upset at that but only to be informed that it is her papa who is coming.
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are the brand ambassadors for MakeMyTrip.
