The Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has slammed the award of Nobel Prize to peace activist Malala Yousafzai saying she did not deserve it.
“,,,There is no value to the Nobel Prize. When you award it to a 16-year-old girl who hasn’t done anything, what value is left? ” he asked.
Ravi Shankar made the controversial statements during a visit to the drought hit Latur in response to a journalist's question at a press conference.
He questioned the credentials of the Nobel Committee and said he had turned it down once.
“Some people approached me... I was told to do certain things to get the prize. I refused to get drawn into these politics,” Ravi Shankar said.
