Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant seem to be heading for trouble with AAP threatening to file a PIL in Supreme Court for his controversial tweet.

Arvind Kejriwal tweeted on Tuesday hinting at a move to file a PIL to curb what he sarcastically described as Amitabh Kant’s freedom of expression.

Arvind Kejriwal’s tweet was tagged to fellow AAP leader Ashish Khetan, who had objected to Amitabh Kant’s tweet. Ashish Khetan  said as head of Niti Aayog, Amitabh Kant should be constructive and collaborative with State governments. “Are you dong justice to your job,” he asked.

As NewsCrunch had noted, Amitabh Kant tweeted sharing a Facebook post on Monday which had made fun of Arvind Kejriwal’s pet odd-even scheme.

The Facebook post said Arvind Kejriwal had conducted a survey on the odd-even scheme introduced by Arvind Kejriwal. The survey had interviewed Arvind Kejriwal who had given the scheme thumbs up.

The contention of the post was probably that Arvind Kejriwal was a megalomaniac, who was running a government without heeding anyone’s opinion except his own.

Amitabh Kant tweet had also drawn ire of journalists who had objected to him sharing posts by the Facebook page Indiaagainst presstitutes.

Amitabh Kant had defended his actions saying he had just found the post interesting. He was a career bureaucrat, not a bonded labourer, he had pointed out, suggesting that he had his freedom of expression.
