A tweet from Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna enraged supporters of Art of Living and elicited a call from some of them to boycott Housefull 3.
Twinkle Khanna's husband Akshay Kumar is the lead actor in forthcoming Bollywood movie Housefull 3.
She deleted the tweet posted on the Twitter handle @Msfunnybones and apologised for hurting the sentiments of Sri Ravishankar's supporters, but continues to face anger in social media.
It started on Saturday when Twinkle Khanna tweeted a comment on Sri Ravishankar's controversial comment that Malala did not deserve the Nobel prize.
“Sri Sri got his nobel foot and half his beard stuck in his mouth in a yogic pose .” she reportedly tweeted.
Though she described it as a joke, it did not go down well with AOL supporters and Twinkle Khanna deleted the tweet saying she may have shown error or judgement.
But the controversy took a new turn when the Art of Living's international director, Darshak Hathi, tweeted hinting at a boycott of Housefull3.
Tagging Mrs Funnybones he tweeted, “Error of Judgement or Fear of #BoycottHousefull3. Anyway Being Old & Being wise is different thing.”
Now, that got Twinkle Khanna angry. She stated that Art of Living was practicing art of intimidation and warned him not to drag her husband Akshay Kumar into the controversy.
Though there are reconciliation noises from both the sides, some of the Art of Living supporters are continuing with the Boycott Housefull3 buzz.
