A CCTV footage shows a Maharashtra bus driver Santosh Shilimkar being dragged for nearly 300 metres on the bonnet of a Swift following a road rage incident.
Santosh Shilimkar, who was driving a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus, hit a Swift driven by H A Ansari at Airoli in Navi Mumbai area on July 27, a rainy day.
The accident provoked an angry exchange of words which made Ansari come out of his car and allegedly assault Santosh Shilimkar.
As Ansari tried to drive away, Santosh Shilimkar tried to stop the car by jumping on the bonnet.
An angry Ansari drove the car for some distance with Santosh Shilimkar hanging on to the bonnet. He ignored a few people who tried to stop the car to rescue the MSRTC bus driver.
After covering some distance S fell on the side and narrowly escaped from being run over by the Swift, which sped away.
Based on the CCTV footage, which is published below, Mumbai police traced Anasri to Mumbai and arrested him.
