A local resident carried Himachal politician Rajinder Rana on his back when he came to visit a flood-hit area at Dharampur in Mandi district on Tuesday.
A former Congress MLA, Rajinder Rana is the vice-chairman of Himachal Pradesh Disaster Management Authority.
When he visited the flood-hit town, local leaders offered him a piggy-back ride fearing that the ankle-length water may soil his shoe and inconvenience him.
Going by the photos, which went viral on social media, Rajinder Rana, seems to have accepted the offer.
Rajinder Rana had quit his Assembly seat to contest last year’s Lok Sabha elections against Anurag Thakur and had lost.
