Rising Pune Supergiants skipper M S Dhoni got Irfan Pathan run out, forcing him to sacrifice his wicket, in a recent match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Dhoni also lost his cool and even drew remarks from the commentators, who said there was no run. The video of the disaster run has gone viral.

At the time of the incident, Dhoni was going struggling at 5 from 14 balls, while Pathan was in a better form scoring 7 off 8 deliveries.

In the 14th over, Dhoni hit the ball straight into hands of Piyush Chawla at the backward point, and set off for a single. Pathan was not keen as he knew there was no run in that.

But Dhoni, who had jumped the trigger and reached half crease, yelled ‘run’ , forcing Pathan to sacrifice his wicket in order to save his captain.

Dhoni went on to glare as Pathan walked back to pavilion.

Dhoni does not seem to gave a good chemistry with Pathan, who was in a scintillating form before IPL. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament he had scored 200 runs and had also emerged as the leading wicket-taker.

Despite this, Dhoni played him in just two games this season. In 2015 also, when both were in Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Dhoni had benched Pathan the entire season.
