While David Warner took Sunrisers Hyderabad to finals with a brilliant knock, it was his fellow Australian Ben Cutting's acrobatic leap over the boundary line to stop a six, that provided the showstopping moment of the match.
Riding on Warner’s unbeaten 93 off 58 balls, Sunrisers recovered rfom 84/5 to defeat Gujarat Lions by four wickets with four balls to spare at the packed Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Friday.
Aaron Finch struck a whirlwind half century to help Gujarat Lions to a challenging 162/7.
When he was on rampage, he flicked Barinder Sran for an unstoppable leg-side six. As the ball flew over the boundary rope, Cutting knew it was too high to go for a catch.
He jumped over the line, pushed the ball back before landing with a thud. The brilliant piece of fielding saved runs that proved to be crucial in the final over of the match.
