Congratulations are pouring in for a group of Kerala girls, who have reportedly protested against a ban on wearing jeans in their Thiruvananthapuram college.
Given the conservative colleges in Kerala, which frequently make odd-ball restrictions, the story is convincing and the photo has gone viral.
The photo is real, but the story is fake.

The most possible explanation comes from stray comments which say the girls wearing lungi photo was probably from a college dance programme. It can also be probably traced to any college in India , not just Kerala, which abhors colour lungis.
