A raging controversy broke out on Monday evening after an independent MLA from Karnataka Ashok Kheny was allegedly caught on camera, abusing Times Now Mumbai bureau chief Megha Prasad.
The ugly incident was followed by an exchange of words between Times Now editor Arnab Goswami and Ashok Kheny, who refused to apologise.
Megha Prasad had tried to speak to Ashok Kheny at a Mumbai hotel, where 13 MLAs from Karnataka are holed up. The party has reportedly shepherded them to Mumbai to prevent other parties from poaching their votes in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Karnataka.
Though Ashok Kheny tried to dodge, Megha Prasad insisted on getting his response to a question on the MLAs staying put in Mumbai. Irritated by her persistence, the MLA allegedly abused her.
After the incident Times Now released another video showing a conversation between Ashok Kheny and Arnab Goswami, who insisted that the MLA issue a written apology.
Kheny refused and said he would say sorry only if the Megha Prasad apologised for thrusting mike into his face.
