To underline India ’s commitment to its blue collar workers in the Gulf, PM Modi visited a labour camp at ICAD Residential City in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
A video shows the workers at camp applauding Modi and trying to touch his feet. He chatted with the workers and found out firsthand about their problems in the region.
“The PM’s visit to the labour camp was a strong message that the country would not ignore the welfare of its Indian workers,” an Indian government official told Reuters.
