Swamy campaign triggers Kiran Mazumdar Shaw and Rupa Subramanya war - words fly, dumb, dumber and dangerous

Two well-known women from Bangalore industrialist Kiran Mazumdar Shaw and writer Rupa Subramanya fought over the Subramanuan Swamy's campaign against economy czars Raghuram Rajan and Arvind Panagariya on Wednesday.

Rupa said Kiran was making dumb arguments. Kiran said Rupa was dumb and dangerous.

Ironically, both seemed to be on the same fence on the issue - were critical of Swamy for running his relentless campaign.

But there seemed to have been some differences in their approach, which triggered the war of words. We are not able to pinpoint the exact fountainhead of conflict as a contentious tweet has gone missing.

From what we gather, Kiran lamented Swamy targeting intellectuals citing an NDTV report.

To which Rupa responded  by urging Kiran not to make dumb arguments.

To which, Kiran responded by calling Rupa dumb and dangerous.

To which, Rupa responded by asking Kiran to stop polluting Bangalore lakes.

Kiran has been battling nationalist trolls for the last few days over her support to Rajan. When a troll alleged that she was favouring the likes of East India Company, she had said dismissively that she did not have time for the likes of him.
