Unicef has released a video of a social experiment, which shows how all of us suffer from class bias.
A six-year-old actress, Anano, is made to look affluent - dress and make up – and left alone on a street in
Her appearance is then changed into a homeless, poor girl. People ignore her and move on.
Anano goes to a restaurant dressed as a rich girl. Concerned diners entertain her. When she steps in as a tramp they shoo her away.
People were so nasty, Anano broke down and Unicef had to stop filming.
Unicef hopes that the video brings out the plight of millions of homeless children to sensitise our class-ridden minds.
It does.
