In a first, Muslim women offered Eid Namaz at the historic Aishbagh Eidgah, though in a separate enclosure, on Thursday.
Women entered the Aishbagh Eidgah through the main gate, but made their way to the Tayyab Hall, where provisions had been made for their prayers.
Men offered their Namaz on the grounds of Eidgah.

A few older imams of the city, however, had opposed the move; one of them had told NDTV on Wednesday that it would distract men.
