A newspaper website carried a then and now photos of yesteryear Bollywood star Mandakini on Sunday.
The pixel-ated photo shows her bloated and ravaged by time and is a bit upsetting to view for her fans, who remember the stunning looks of the green-eyed Bollywood beauty.
The photo paints a wrong picture of Mandakini as she has in real life, settled down happily, ageing gracefully.
At 53, she is obviously no longer the stunner of the Ram teri Gana Maili, but has enough oomph to make heads turn.
She is married to a former Buddhist monk, Dr. Kagyur T. Rinpoche Thakur, the child model in the vintage Murphy Radio advertisements. Along with her husband, Mandakini runs Tibetan yoga classes and a centre for Tibetan medicine.
Born Yasmeen Joseph, Mandakini became a household name after debuting in the 1985 Raj Kapoor movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili.
After a fairly short Bollywood career, Mandakini courted controversy due to her alleged proximity to Dawood Ibrahim, a charge she denies, before finding the love of her life in Dr. Kagyur T. Rinpoche Thakur.
