Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi smiled at the crowd after it booed him during Vijender Singh's Super Middleweight Championship title bout against Kerry Hope in New Delhi on Saturday night.
Rahul Gandhi had gone to the Thyagaraj stadium to watch the match.
A video shows a section of the crowd chanting Modi, Modi, after seeing Rahul Gandhi on the giant screen, sitting next to IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla and an unidentified child.
Rahul Gandhi sat through the heckling without reacting. When he left the stadium, the crowd started booing again.
This time Rahul Gandhi smiled back.
