‘Split’ may not really help M Night Shyamalan regain his lost touch.

The suspense filmmaker has been struggling to sustain a career, which began with a bang with the likes of The Sixth Sense and Signs, and has languished since.

His new film ‘Split’, due for release next January, is a psychological thriller which walks a clichéd path

James McAvoy, The X-Men professor, kidnaps three teenaged girls. He suffers from a personality disorder – there are as many as 23 different people in his frame.
