A video, which shows an Uttar Pradesh woman abusing her paralysed mother-in-law, has gone viral.
The woman identified as Sarita from Manjhanpur village near Kaushambi, UP, is seen slapping and , beating the old woman with a plate, and even dragging her off the cot.
The old woman, paralysed for the last six months, is unable to even respond to the blows.
The video was captured by a CCTV, which Sarita's husband Jhallar had quietly installed in the room. He had seen injury marks on his mother's body and suspected his wife of torturing her. To catch her red-hand, he had installed the camera.
Despite evidence of abuse, Jhallar preferred to handle the issue within the family. But the local police have started investigation after the video went viral.
