Ladakh witnesses frequent flareups between Indian and Chinese troops. The border is not demarcated, which is intensely patrolled, and both the sides accuse each other of intruding.

A video uploaded in August this year shows a standoff between Indian an Chinese soldiers at near Tibetan border.

India soldiers are seen in the video taking Chinese to task. They ask why Chinese soldiers are in the Indian territory.

They also ask Chinese why so many of their soldiers are patrolling. As part of their confidence building measure both the countries have agreed to limit the number of soldiers who will patrol the area.

The Chinese soldiers are defensive and deferential. While  Indians use words such as "bloody," Chinese call them "Sir."

But given the mastery of the Chinese troops over English, any intelligent conversation with them is impossible. The Chinese keep repeating that "the (border) line is clear," possibly meaning the opposite of it.

As the commanders squabble - the soldiers of both the countries hold their ground forming human chains.

Some of them take out the mobile cameras and shoot.
