GoPro camera falls into den of poisonous rattle snakes and takes incredible viral videos (two videos)

A Montana man, Michael J Delaney, dropped his GoPro camera into a den of poisonous rattle snakes while trying to shoot their video.

The videos, which show the hissing and striking rattle snakes at incredible close up angles, have gone viral.

The adventure started when Delaney’s father found the den while riding his dirt bike in the rocky and shrubs-covered country side of Winnett, Montana. As Delaney puts it his father “rode his dirt bike into the middle of them before he realized what he was into.”

Delaney went to the spot mounting his Go-pro camera on a selfie stick to get a closer view of the deadly animals. You can hear the spine-chilling rattling and hissing noise as the rattle snakes, which are closely huddled, get irritated by the intrusion.

One snake manages to strike at the camera, which gets dropped right into the pit. Snakes crawl over the camera examining the hardware or striking at it.

Delaney then did the unthinkable  - he used a hockey stick to fish out the camera successfully and took it back home. But he says he had to wash off the venom before he could use it again.

Montanais home to the prairie rattlesnake is a medium-sized species, which can deliver a dose of venom, to kill an adult human.
