Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan received a doctorate from the University of Edinburgh
A video records the small ceremony, in which the distinguished officials of the ancient university handed over the honorary degree to the Bollywood superstar.
Later speaking to university officials Shah Rukh Khan said he was "extremely grateful and extremely humbled" by the recognition. He also vowed to work harder at the social causes he has been working on.
After accepting the honour, Shah Rukh Khan spoke about real life lessons, with examples from the plots of his movies such as Chak De!India , My Name Is Khan and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
Bollywood took over after that with Shah Rukh joining a group of dancers on stage to perform Lungi dance from Chak De India.
