Air Mags come with buttons, which can be used to tighten and loosen the "power laces" |
Nike unveiled its long-awaited self-tying shoes Air Mags on Wednesday.
The shoes come with buttons on the side of the ankle, which can be used to tighten and loosen the "power laces" automatically.
The cutting-edge shoes are inspired by Back to The Future 2, a hit franchise of the '80s, which featured Michael J Fox. It is not clear if Nike wants to go for commercial production of Air Mags.
Fox appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday and demonstrated Air Mags. Nike plans to auction a limited edition in 2016 and donate the money to the Michael J Fox Foundation, which is working to eliminate Parkinson’s disease.
