A monster crocodile measuring up to 11 feet has been reportedly captured at a water treatment plant at Bhandup, Mumbai.

The water treatment plant at Bhandup, said to be the largest in Asia, is  major soure of water supply to the city.

Bhandup, a Mumbai suburb, was a dense forest area a few decades ago. Its water treatment plant is majorly fed by Tulsi and Vihar lakes, which are situated inside the Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

These lakes are known to host fresh water crocodiles (Crocodilus palustris), which can grow up to 11 feet.
