British Airways waded into a public relations disaster by asking the full name of the most famous living Indian - Sachin Tendulkar.
Sachin Tendulkar, who is inLos Angeles playing a promo tournament, tweeted on Friday complaining that British Airways had incorrectly tagged his baggage. He also added that a family member's ticket had not been confirmed despite vacant seats on the flight.
British Airways came up with its standard response asking Sachin Tendulkar to disclose his full name and address, clearly failing to recognise who it was dealing with.
While Tendulkar ignored it, his 8.4 million followers on Twitter, who were aghast, came up with a response.
Tennis star Maria Sharapova had also been similarly trolled, when she failed to recognise Sachin Tendulkar - given that cricket is not a popular game either in her birth or the adopted country.
