It is impossible to single out any role of Saeed Jaffrey and say it defined the actor in him,
That was the endearing versatality of Indian-British actor Saeed Jaffrey, who passed away on Monday at 87.
In the video below he is seen in conversation with the team, which made the iconic history movie Gandhi, in which he played Sardar Patel.
On the other side of the conversation is the equally brilliant director of the movie Sir Richard Attenborough, whose approach to work was as relentless as it was gentle - points out Saeed Jaffrey.
He describes how he prepared to play Patel, which he says was a difficult role. You also get a glimpse of Ben Kingsely, the man who defined Gandhi for the later generations.
The video is short and the discussion hardly extensive. But it gives an insight into the marvelous people they were - Saeed Jaffrey and Richard Attenborough
