Ramzan, the boy from Pakistan, who is stranded at an NGO-run shelter in Bhopal, is upset that his mother refused to come to India to fetch him.

Indian envoy T C A Raghavan met his mother Razia Begum in Karachi and invited her to come to India to visit her son and take him back, if Pakistan could prepare his travel papers by then.

But she refused the invitation saying as a Muslim she did not feel safe in India.

Her refusal has hit Ramzan hard. The 15-year-old boy, who had adjusted to his life in Bhopal shelter home, has stopped playing with his friends, become quiet and irritable, reports The Indian Express.

As he has dropped out of school, he is pretty much alone in the day when his friends go to classes.  He kills time staring disinterestedly at a  general knowledge book or keeping his eyes fixed on TV.

An NGO official spoke to is father in Bangladesh, who also refused to come, and also said he he lost Ramzan's passport.

For Ramzan to go back to his country quickly as he desperately wants to, the diplomats of both the countries need to match their steps.

While India wants his mother to come here, Pak officials say it will be easier is R is taken to his country by Indian officials. They say MEA has not responded to a letter sent by them in this on the issue, reports The Hindu.
