The controversial statements made by Aamir Khan was witnessed by five Union Ministers - Venkaiah Naidu, Najma Heptulla, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Arun Jaitley.

None of the union ministers reacted to Aamir Khan’s comments though Jaitley was seen leaving when Aamir Khan was speaking.
It raised many an eyebrow and as The Telegraph reported, “…Jaitley walked out while Aamir was in full flow. It was unclear whether the finance minister had a prior appointment.”

As it turned out Jaitley indeed had a prior appointment and left on schedule. His departure, which looked abrupt, had nothing to do with Kiran wanting to quit
Before Express’s Ananth Goenka started his session with Aamir Khan, he handed over the mike to Jaitley saying he would have to leave soon, and asked for his response on celebrities speaking out on issues.
Jaitley said he had no problem with that as long as they were thoughtful and refrained from maverick speeches.
