Modi's speech failed to bring any seriousness to Rahul Gndhi and his three close buddies - Jyotiraditya Scindia, K C Venugopal and Deepender Hooda. |
PM Modi tried to make a conciliatory speech in the Parliament on Friday.
Modi addressed the wrap up session of the Parliament that had been convened to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar.
He paid tribute to Nehru though in a roundabout way and reaffirmed his party's faith to constitution as it stands.
It was an important speech Congress was looking forward to know if he would address the concerns it had raised. Speaking on Thursday, Mallikarjun Kharge had warned of bloodbath if anyone meddled with the Constitution.
Modi's reaching out did nothing to relax Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Kharge, who sat with grim faces listening to his words carefully.
It also failed to bring any seriousness to Rahul Gndhi and his three close buddies - Jyotiraditya Scindia, K C Venugopal and Deepender Hooda.
As the camera zoomed in on the Congress benches it caught Gang Rahul cracking a joke. Scindia may have said something funny, which seems to have drawn a response from Hooda who had to cross over Venu to whisper to Rahul, who seemed to enjoy it thoroughly.
The other Congress MPs looked so grave it looked that they had come to attend a funereal meeting.
