Nature's fury has not spared even Lord Venkateshwara as heavy downpour has flooded Tirumala temple.
Located about 150 km away from Chennai, Tirupati has received heavy rains for last three days. All reservoirs in the area are full and major roads to the town have been cut ff.
Devotees are cancelling their trips and those at the temple town are stranded.
On the plus side, the unseasonal rains have brought down the long wait to enter the temple from 14 to just two hours, reports Mumbai Mirror.
The Tirumala temple usually gets 70,000 pilgrims a day at this time of the year. But now due to wet weather their number has fallen drastically allowing those at the temple to make their offerings without being rushed.
