Press Information Bureau (PIB) deleted a doctored image of PM Modi making an aerial survey of flooded Chennai, which it had tweeted on Thursday.

The morphed image showed Modi looking at submerged streets of Chennai from the window of chopper.

After the picture was exposed as fake, it started trending on  social media, prompting  PIB to press the delete button but without offering any explanation.

What exposed the PIB's blunder? Ironically, Modi himself.
He had earlier tweeted the original picture through his personal Twitter handle. In the original photo, you see just see him looking out of the window.

Someone in PIB thought of sexing it up by adding Chennai skyline with a few photoshop tricks.
