India’s first female buddy film, Angry Indian Goddesses, has released a video compiling scenes that were edited out by the Censor Board.
Here is a sample of the clips that were removed:
Images of Goddesses are cut. Scenes of actresses making faces like Kali are cut.
Any hint of women expressing their sexuality gets dismissed. A group of women admiring a hunk is cut. A girl saying her boyfriend plays her like his guitar is cut.
A woman saying she has the Indian figure is cut.
The cuts may look arbitrary, but they aren’t. It is just a case of bad moral policing.
